Can I use my own propagation media with GermiPad?

Absolutely. GermiPad is compatible with peat pellets, rockwool, sphagnum moss, coco coir, propagation plugs, perlite, vermiculite, and many other growing media.

Why is temperature stability important during propagation?

Propagation relies on temperature sensitive metabolic processes. Unstable temperatures can interrupt enzyme activity, delay sprouting, and create uneven germination/ propagation rates. Stable temperatures help support reliable enzymatic activation and healthier early seedling development.

How is this different than a traditional seed tray and humidity dome?

Traditional plastic humidity domes and seed trays often experience rapid temperature fluctuations, excessive condensation, and poor airflow. Does airflow matter during plant propagation?

Yes. Oxygen plays a critical role in seed respiration during propagation. Poor airflow and overly saturated conditions can contribute to mold, rot, and damping off. Controlled passive airflow helps maintain healthier propagation conditions while supporting proper moisture balance.

Can this propagation kit help prevent damping off and mold?

No propagation system can completely eliminate mold or damping off, but stable temperatures, balanced moisture, and proper airflow can help reduce the environmental conditions that commonly contribute to fungal problems during seed starting and seedling development. Removable Heat Pack means the silicone portions are dishwasher safe for easy sanitizing.
