Enhanced Depth and Capacity
- Spacer Attachment: Increases the pod depth by 0.25" (0.635 cm), allowing for the germination of larger seeds or layering pads for different types.
- Second-Tier Tray: Provides an additional germination pod, creating a dual-zone environment for different seed types or growth stages.
-
Dual Temperature Zones
The 2nd Tier Tray creates another temperature zone 0.5-1 C cooler for expanded range:
Main Pod:
- Green LED: 77-79°F (25-26°C)
- Red LED: 80-82°F (27-28°C)
Second-Tier Pod:
- Green LED: 75-77°F (24-25°C)
- Red LED: 78-80°F (26-27°C)

Modular and Scalable Design
Compatible with the Sprout system, the module pack allows users to:
- Stack multiple tiers for increased germination capacity.
- Germinate larger seeds to fit specific garden needs.
Easily integrates with Sprout in a variety of setup options.
How to Use Sprout Module Pack
Attach the Spacer: Connect the spacer to the main pod to increase depth and accommodate larger seeds.
Or
Install the Second-Tier Tray: Set the 2nd tier tray on top of the main pod for additional germination space. Align the air channels in the same direction as the main pod(away from the usb ports).
Then follow regular instructions

Benefits
Increased Germination Success
The dual-zone temperature settings and added depth allow for a broader range of seeds to germinate, including larger or more temperature specific types.
Optimized Space Utilization
With the second-tier tray, you can maximize your germination capacity within a compact space, making it ideal for small indoor gardening setups. No need for an additional heat source.
Customizable Growing Environment
The modular design lets you tailor the germination environment to the specific needs of different seeds, ensuring optimal growth conditions.
Energy Efficiency
High thermal conductivity materials maintain a stable temperature with minimal power consumption, making it both eco-friendly and cost-effective. Great for off-grid living.
Important Considerations
- Temperature Selection: Choose the temperature setting/zone that is suitable for the type of seeds you're germinating.
- Moisture Management: Ensure the germination medium remains adequately hydrated, but avoid over-watering.
- Lid Management: Minimize the removal of the lid to maintain consistent temperature and humidity levels.
- Power Requirements: Use a high-quality USB-C adapter (e.g., 20W Apple adapter) for best performance, especially when daisy-chaining multiple units. 2 units per 20W charger. 3+ requires 35W or more. More details on power in FAQs.
